HOW TO LOGIN TO YOUR CHROMEBOOK OFF CAMPUS
Internet filtering will now be the same whether the student is on or off campus. However, when a student is off campus, the login process will be different. Click here for directions (.pdf) and sample screen shots.

 

HOW TO REFRESH YOUR BATTERY
1. Plug power cord in Chromebook.
2. Press the Power Button Key and Refresh key (just above the #4 key) at the same time for about 10 seconds then let up.
3. Press Power Button for about 2 secs. and let up to see if laptop will turn on.
4. If successful, check battery level in far-right corner to see if it displays a lightning bolt and is getting a charge.
Continue to leave plugged in to see if Chromebook will charge up to 100%.
 
HOW TO CHECK YOUR CHROMEBOOK'S VERSION
At the Chromebook login screen, press the ALT key and V Key. The Chromebook version will display in the top right corner of the Chromebook. It should read something like Google Chrome 120.  Press the ALT Key and V Key again to remove this display option.

CCS is allowing Chromebooks to climb to version 123 as the highest version.

 

Chromebook & Charger Return Info.

Students will turn in their Chromebook when it is their last day on campus. They should be finished completing ALL of their exams (Teacher made, CTE, and EOC) prior to turning in their Chromebook or Hotspot (if applicable).
 

FALL CHROMEBOOK RETURN DATES AND TIMES
(EARLY GRADUATES ONLY)

Dec. 11th-14th. A check-in station will be in the Commons area at 11am for early graduates to turn-in their Chromebook and charger.

 

SPRING CHROMEBOOK RETURN DATES AND TIMES
Wed., May 15th - A check-in station will be in the Commons area from 12:45-1:15 pm for seniors that flex 4th block to turn-in their Chromebook. 

Wed., May 15th - Students will check-in their chromebook with their 4th block teacher UNLESS they need to take an EOC/CTE/Teacher Made exam. Teachers will use the Chromebook Return online form and collect Chromebooks and chargers on this day.

May 16th, 17th, 20th, 21st  – After students finish their very last final exam, students will check-in their Chromebook to their exam teacher. Teachers will use online form to complete. Teachers will return classroom Chromebook loaner and charger on May 22nd to Mr. Schladensky.
 

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR CHROMEBOOK FOR RETURN

  1. Seniors and non-returning students: Make sure that you backup any downloaded files that you wish to save to a flash drive or copy/upload to a personal Google drive. Also, backup files from your One/Google Drive because your account will be disabled at the end of the school year.
  2. Clean the Chromebook with an alcohol wipe. Remove any personal stickers or a fee will be applied.
  3. Make sure your name is on both your Chromebook and charger before return. 
  4. Wrap the charger cord and place it into the ziploc bag provided by the teacher.
