Mount Pleasant Only Scholarships
Fisher Family Scholarship
The Fisher Family Scholarship is designed to inspire and support students of Mount Pleasant High School who demonstrate excellence both in and out of the classroom. An annual $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one Mount Pleasant High School senior planning to attend an in-state four-year college or university. Criteria for the award include academic achievement, athletic participation, community service, church involvement, and a demonstrated commitment to making a positive impact in their community.
The Fisher Family Scholarship celebrates the values of hard work, service, and faith that have shaped the Fisher family. This scholarship honors students who embody a well-rounded approach to life—those who pursue academic excellence while actively contributing to their school, community, and church. The Fishers believe that investing in students who demonstrate character, leadership, and dedication will create a ripple effect of positive change in Mount Pleasant and beyond. Their vision is to support students who will not only achieve personal success but will also return that success to their communities through service, leadership, and faithful stewardship.
In addition, the Fisher Family Scholarship is intended for students who are committed to completing a four-year degree without incurring student loan debt. Because student loans can create long-term financial burdens, applicants are asked to outline a realistic and thoughtful plan for achieving a debt-free education. This may include anticipated scholarships, grants, savings strategies, work plans, or other financial approaches that demonstrate a clear path toward graduating without student loan obligations.
